Accurate Termite and Pest Control is a full-service company,
licensed for inspection of wood-destroying organizations and for
treatment and repair or fumigation, which are the two services
recognized by the state of California.
Each termite inspection report by an Accurate Termite and Pest
Control inspector includes individual recommendations developed
for that specific situation; no two situations are the same. Factors
that influence the recommended action include type of pest, degree
of infestation, access to infested areas, damage to structure,
and budget.
Local treatment and repair is often less costly than fumigation;
local treatment and repair is generally a control action, while
fumigation eradicates the pests. Local treatment and repair is
often appropriate for dry rot, subterranean termites and dry wood
termites.
- Dry rot — our recommendation for dry rot is usually
removal and replacement of the infested wood to ensure that
the fungus has been removed.
- Subterranean termites live in the soil and do not respond
to fumigation, so we treat them locally. They are very aggressive
and will consume a house much faster than dry wood termites.
- Dry wood termites are treated or fumigated, depending on
the situation.
For local treatments, we have methods to drill and apply products
directly to the termite areas; we spray down areas as a preventive.
After we locally treat the infestation, we mask and remove the
evidence so we can monitor in the future. Not only do we treat
the symptom; we try to correct the cause of the problem to prevent
a reoccurrence.
We are fully licensed, bonded and insured. As Licensed General
Contractors, we are skilled at removing and replacing materials.
We can correct moisture problems and often can identify a structural
defect in a building that is causing a problem.
We guarantee the treated area for one year against active reinfestation.
If there is a reinfestation we will return at no charge and re-treat
the area.
