How can I prevent spiders from entering my home?

Let’s face it – very few people like spiders. They are sneaky and scary. Whether they are 2 feet away from you or in the corner of another room, they’re intimidating. Many people struggle to keep the spiders away from the house and if you are one of them (you probably are), here are some tips for preventing spiders from entering your home.

  1. Use natural spray

One of the best natural ways to keep the spiders away is to make your own spray. You can spray all the damp areas inside the house, as well as the windows and doors outside to prevent them from entering. All you need in order to make this natural spray is a cup of apple cider vinegar, a teaspoon of oil, one cup of pepper and a teaspoon of liquid soap. Put all the ingredients in the bottle, mix them well and make sure to re-spray every area in the house every couple of days.

Another thing you can use is tobacco. It is not a favorite thing to spiders and you can use it as a weapon! All you need to do is spread tobacco leaves around the house. You can even mix tobacco with water and create a spray which you can use on a daily basis to make sure the spiders stay away!

Moreover, natural oils and remedies can play a big part in preventing spiders from entering your home. Apparently, vinegar is one of the best ones. So, use vinegar mixed with water and spray it anywhere you might think the spiders would be. It’s a great solution to keep them away!

  1. Keep it clean

There are no better things for spiders than clutter. They tend to find clutter quickly and position themselves in the corners of houses. They just love dust. So, if you want to keep them away, try to dust at least once a week and deprive them from their favorite setting.

  1. Rely on your pet

Guess who loves running around the house and chasing things? Pets, of course. If you have a pet, you already know that. In case you don’t, you might consider getting one. A pet could help keep the spiders away. Pets are quick and can’t stand any other animal or insect in the house so they would be of great help. Use them!

  1. Seal the cracks

If you have spiders in your house, it means that they must have found the way to get in. That’s why you need to find all the cracks in your house and seal them as soon as possible to cut the spiders off. It’s easy, effective and a smart way to keep the spiders away!

There are many ways in which you can prevent spiders from entering your home. These are only some you can use to be on your way to a spider-free home.
