Frequently Asked Questions

Help! I have bees at my home and want to get rid of them right now! How soon can you come out?

Eliminating stinging pests from your home can be an emergency situation, and we place a top priority on getting to your home as soon as possible, often within one business day. Just tell the dispatcher, “It’s an emergency,” and you can be assured we’ll be out there as fast as we can. Multiple members of our staff are licensed to inspect, treat and remove the insects.

Is it possible to get rid of bees permanently?
No, but bees are much less likely to return if the hive is removed and the area is sealed off. We offer both bee treatment and bee removal services.

Can the hive always be removed?
No, each situation is unique. Often the hive can be removed, but sometimes the hive is in a structure such as a chimney where it would be cost-prohibitive to disassemble the structure. Accurate Termite and Pest Control is a Licensed General Contractor, so we can remove hives that require demolition and rebuilding where that is the preference of the homeowner.

How long does it take to kill the bees?
Ninety-nine percent of the bees in the hive die within a few hours. However, bees that were outside at the time of treatment may take up to 48 hours to die after they return to the hive. As a standard part of our bee treatment we return a day or two after a treatment to be sure all the bees been eliminated.

What problems do bees cause, other than the obvious fact that they sting?

The honey in a beehive can get mold, and the honey can drip from the hive, creating cosmetic problems and also attracting other pests.
